Valorant Champions 2023

Industry-leading esports pioneer Riot Games is the award-winning developer and publisher behind Valorant and League of Legends, two games that have defined competitive gaming since its inception. When they needed a production partner to produce an opening ceremony that would - as Riot put it - “blow their fans' minds,” they chose Done + Dusted.

From conception to broadcast, Done + Dusted worked in lockstep with Riot to align vision with execution, meticulously pre-visualizing every aspect of the production using every tool available, from hand-drawn mood boards to shot-for-shot camera blocking in a simulation of The Forum rendered in Unreal Engine.

Our collaboration and hard work paid off: the finals ceremony featured a jaw-dropping 12 minutes of all-out action, perfectly synchronized and driven by timecode that ensured frame-perfect alignment of pyrotechnics, augmented reality, a flying dropship, lasers, LED audience bracelets, and dozens of massive LED surfaces featuring bespoke IP-driven content. The result was a massive critical success that drew millions of viewers and marked a significant moment in community building and fan interaction.
