Norman Lear: 100 Years of Music + Laughter

Norman Lear’s contributions to entertainment will live on forever. From his beginnings as a writer on Martin + Lewis, Mr. Lear quickly rose to fame as a prolific creator of beloved shows like All In The Family, Mary Hartman Mary Hartman, One Day at a Time, and so many more. For his 100th birthday, the industry itself came together to pay homage to this titan of television; and D+D was thrilled when we were tapped to produce this milestone event.

100 Years of Music + Laughter was a groundbreaking show that featured tributes from the likes of Jimmy Kimmel, Tom Hanks, Rob Reiner, and many more. This spectacular live event was broadcast alongside documentary-style footage that showed exactly why Mr. Lear was one of the most beloved figures in entertainment. A hit with audiences and critics, the special earned an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Variety Special.
