Coldplay Live in Sydney

Coldplay still plays to sold-out crowds at stadiums worldwide today, over two decades after their formation in 1997. But in 2003 they were at the height of popularity, fresh off of the release of their record-shattering award-winning album A Rush of Blood to the Head and well into a continent-spanning tour that turned them from a mere alternative rock band into a household name. So when they wanted to record and film a live album in Sydney, Australia, they knew they could trust Done + Dusted to get the job done.

Live 2003 was shot with balance in mind: of light and shadow, of high-energy anthems and intimate ballads, of grand spectacle and thoughtful sincerity. Recording involved staggered cameras, a variety of stocks and double exposures, all requiring surgically-precise direction and timing. 

The film was an extraordinary success, nominated for Best Long Form Music Video at the 47th Annual Grammy Awards and named one of the best releases of the year by Blender magazine.
