About / Partners
Katy Mullan is an Executive Producer, Showrunner and Partner at Done + Dusted Productions, a global entertainment production house. Originally from England she made a name for herself in the high stakes, high profile genre of big budget live entertainment. Her work ranges from producing the London Olympics Opening and Closing ceremonies to her ratings success with The Little Mermaid Live! for ABC, and has consistently proven that live events have unrivaled power to both reflect and shape pop culture. Driven by her passion to innovate and to bring the highest production value to her projects, Katy has built a reputation for creating cultural touchstones that make her one of the top talents in her field.
Katy’s an organizational powerhouse, guiding and inspiring huge teams through executing the most complex live broadcasts, but she's at her happiest working with other creatives she admires to forge new ways to tell stories. Her continued success means she is trusted by networks, streamers and brands to create & deliver new entertainment formats ranging from Apple Music’s First Listen series to The Disney Family Singalong franchise on ABC. Other work has included her collaborating with Reece Witherspoon’s Hello Sunshine on a ground-breaking new music series, My Kind Of Country and Rachel Brosnahan’s Scrap Paper Pictures on the first major all-female comedy special for Amazon TV with Yearly Departed. And that’s just in the past 15 months during a pandemic, running entire productions from her laptop.
Katy is a leader, story-teller and problem solver, so when the pandemic hit she rolled up her sleeves and found innovative ways to deliver high quality programs that spoke to the moment. Creating feel-good content that connected people when they couldn’t be together in person not only kept her sane, but she also regards it as one of her greatest career achievements.
